Since 1999, Big Finish Productions has been making new Doctor Who adventures on audio starring starring original series actors Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, and many more. More recently, actors Stephen Noonan, Michael Troughton and Tim Treloar have been delighting listeners with their portrayals of the First, Second and Third Doctors respectively.  

In 2025, the future of Doctor Who on audio is as strong as ever, as all the classic series Doctors, alongside friends and foes old and new, will board their TARDISes to feature in a raft of brand-new full-cast audio adventures.  

Starting today, eager listeners can pre-order all of next year’s Classic Doctor box sets, each of which is available as a three-disc collector’s edition CD and download, with a number of multi-buy bundles available to save money.   

The 15-release bundle (which includes all the Classic Doctor adventures) is available to purchase in the following formats:  

• Collector’s edition CD (+ download) for just £335. Due to the strictly limited pressing of collector's edition CDs, there will be no more than 1,000 bundles available for purchase at this price. 

• Download only for just £275. The download bundle is not limited.  

Plus, the first 200 customers to purchase a complete Classic Doctors 2025 bundle before 03 June 2024 will also receive a £10 Early-Bird Pre-Order Bonus Gift Card, subject to these terms. Sorry, this offer has now expired.

Senior Producer John Ainsworth added: “Long-term listeners will know that we record Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor Adventures well in advance, but there might be some surprises on the way. Also in 2025, Peter Davison stars in a 12-part Fifth Doctor story for the first time ever. It's an epic featuring new worlds, new creatures and a searing light that could burn everything to dust. 

“The Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Doctors will feature in two box sets each, as in previous years. I shan't give too much away but expect companions old and new, some classic series monsters that haven't featured on audio for a decade, and a name that's been hiding in plain sight (and it's time to go there...).”

Big Finish is currently operating a digital-first release schedule. The mailout of collector’s edition CDs will be delayed, but all purchases of this release unlock a digital copy that can be immediately downloaded or played on the Big Finish app from the release date.
