Sarah Sutton

Having previously appeared in children’s serial The Moon Stallion and a TV adaptation of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, Sarah Sutton began playing Nyssa in Doctor Who in 1981. She continued to play the genius scientist from Traken, who became a companion to the Fourth and Fifth Doctors, until 1983, returning for a cameo appearance in 1984. Sutton has voiced Nyssa on Big Finish audio dramas since 2000’s The Land of the Dead. She also stars in Big Finish’s Timeslip series.
